An Introduction

A New Era of Education in Beaufort County

Beaufort County Mirco School is a State Registered-Approved Private School Facility. We offer In-person Blended Learning (E-Learning & Face to Face) Instruction. Our School caters to the needs of Middle and High School Students. Offering a STEM curriculum; Science, Technology, Engineering & Math. Additionally, we have implemented our own pedagogy which focuses on direct instruction through explicit teaching. In addition to the basic educational
requirements (Math, English, Reading, Science, etc) BCMS pedagogy introduces new ideas to differentiated instruction which consists of reacting to diverse learning styles.

There is no such thing as lower level learning, however each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential through their own individual unique ways to master the content. Myers Briggs (personality) & Formative Assessments are conducted to identify student personality types and educational needs geared around Micro Schooling.

LEARNING STYLES

Auditory

Learners who prefer listening to information over reading or seeing it visually. They may speak and read slowly, and may benefit from repetition and mnemonic devices. Auditory learners may also do best when discussing material with others.

Reading and Writing

Learners who prefer to learn through words, and who may benefit from reading text-heavy materials or writing. They may enjoy researching information by studying books, reports, and presentations.

Kinesthetic

Learners who prefer to learn by doing, and who may benefit from hands-on experience and physical movement. They may enjoy problem-solving and trying new activities, and may personalize information to help them recall it.

Visual

Learners who prefer to learn through images, diagrams, charts, graphs, and presentations. They may benefit from doodling and making visual notes, and teachers can use graphic displays to help them learn.

Logical

Learners who prefer to use order, steps, and logic, and who may benefit from making connections and recognizing patterns. They may have a systematic approach to learning and may be good at keeping organized.
